Cross-posting

From my other blog, because I want to thank the people who contributed through this site as well:

I told you a while back that I was going to be looking for a new place to give all the money I’ve raised, what little there is, plus some of my own. It wasn’t that I didn’t like the Prevent Child Abuse America organization, it was more that I felt like I gave to a large, nationwide organization and that was that. I did, however find that the local Prevent Child Abuse Ohio chapter is a partner with the Children’s Hospital Child and Family Advocacy Center here in Columbus, so this year, I think the donation will go directly there. Thanks to everyone who has either used my CafePress store as a referrer for their store, or made an Amazon purchase through my affiliate links, I’ll be making a $35 donation there later this week. (Unless there’s a sudden burst of income over there, in which case it will go up accordingly. *grin*)

While most of Friday night and Saturday revolved around the grand search for new dining room chairs, yesterday was pretty much an all-hockey day! I know, I haven’t posted anything today, and haven’t really been online much. I’m trying to get some database work done, but I’ve had too many interruptions between quick user questions and vendor phone calls. I think I’ve started over on this three times now, and it’s not necessarily anything difficult, it’s just hard to…

I’ve had some time now to digest some things that have been going around the blog world and I have some thoughts: I’m glad that Elcomsoft was found not guilty but given the facts of the case I’m not too sure that this is really the death knell for the DMCA. The problem is that…

A post with a bullet, or three. * Firefox’s update went pretty smoothly on my laptop, it had one little hiccup on my work desktop. After restarting Firefox, the Clippings extension threw up a script error. Disabling Clippings and reinstalling it fixed the problem. BTW, Clippings is a very handy tool when your helpdesk software…
