I’m impressed

The laptop hard drive, which was ordered after 3 PM yesterday, and which I was told by the Compaq help desk person to not expect until Monday, maybe even Tuesday, arrived before 9 o’clock this morning. I probably won’t even attempt to work on that until Monday anyway though, as I’m leaving at noon today to head out of town and do the holiday celebration with the in-laws this weekend. I’m looking forward to it!

In other news, there’s a new logo type thingy on the lower left hand column. Following Tony’s lead, I am using a Creative Commons license to describe what rights I’m allowing you, the reader, and what right’s I’m reserving. Basically, the only right I hold in full reserve is the right to commercial use of the content here, and the right to require attribution if you copy the content for your own non-commercial use. Pretty simple, really, and now you all know where we stand, eh? 🙂

(Not that I really have any intention of making this a commercial site, but really, it’s my content, if anyone gets to do that, it should be me!)

See here’s the thing. Angela was out of town so from the time I left work on Friday at 5 until 9 Saturday morning, when I logged into Skype for the Tech Chat, I hadn’t actually spoken to anyone or tried to form a coherent sentence. I haven’t listened to it yet, but I’m assuming…

  • Confusing but good

I did get to try and install StatCounteX yesterday, and then this morning found the version that adds password protection to the stats, which I was rather disappointed wasn’t there to begin with. Turns out it was a user uploaded version. There wasn’t much in the way of documentation, I guess that’s a hazard of…

I’m getting a number of emails from THC customers wondering if I have any more information than they do, but I really don’t. I did notice that their site went “Socket Error” this afternoon instead of the “Check back in 60 minutes”, not sure what that means. Anyway, unfortunately, it seems like some of the…
