Why?

I have a question, when you’re switching from using Outlook Express 6 to Outlook 2000, why does Outlook refuse to import message rules that are incompatible with older versions of Outlook? At least I think that’s what happened, when I imported the message rules, all of the “mail from specified account” rules didn’t import, and then when I tried to create those rules in Outlook it let me, but warned me that they would be incompatible with Outlook 98. Now I don’t want to argue with my laptop, but if I’m using 2000, why would I gave a rat’s ass if the rule wouldn’t work in 98?

Isn’t that sort of like getting a warning at your local US bank that your US money may not be spendable outside of the country? Is that even relevant?
