More OPML

As you can see from yesterday’s posts, I think I’ve got a pretty good grasp on how I can use the OPML editor after all. It’s going to require a little bit of work on my end, in terms of creating new outlines for each new item and then moving the HTML files by hand, but that’s not a big deal. I still need to figure out how to add contact information, and where to add it, but I’ll get there. In the meantime, if you’re interested in seeing what articles I’m working on for the 2Guys2Cities site, you can keep track by subscribing to my instant outliner if you are also using the OPML Editor, subscribing to the RSS feed, which will be updated each time I add a new outline, and point you to the outline, or by simply visiting the front page.

Then if you see something you want to correct, add to, or have a brand new story idea, hit me with an email.

Update: July 29, Dave made a change so the whole outline now shows up in the blogging tool. Nice! Needless to say, I will stop making those extra HTML pages and go with putting the outlines directly into the blog.

I didn’t bother to point to the free Opera give away from the other day because I saw at least 15 other blogs pointing to it, but I got my copy. I also ordered my free copy of Linspire as well, although I’m going to wait and download it when the servers aren’t being slammed….

Hmm, JP seems to have a pretty good guess about what my opinion might be. Truth is, even with my geek soul, I don’t care what Microsoft calls their next operating system. I’ve never really cared about the name of any software. Call it whatever the hell you want, my decision to use it is…

Because I’ve been in the “not putting up with any BS” mood all weekend, I present to you some critiques of things you commonly see online: As more information came in about the blogger hack, it is amazing how many people who immediately kicked in with their own “expert” opinions about what happened were so…

Looks like Jevon is back among the bloggers again. Nice to see him back! He’s got a post about Real-time blogging and outlining that’s interesting. (permalinks, Jevon? I couldn’t find one) In a nutshell, he wants to use an outliner on his blog because that’s how he tackles technical learning, by writing out an idea,…
