Library stuff

If you don’t live in Ohio, go ahead and skip ahead in your aggregator. We’ll get back to tech stuff shortly…

If you do live in Ohio, and are concerned about possible cuts in the state budget affecting your local library funding, you can go check out these links:

If you’re in Columbus, check the Columbus library’s page:

Other Ohio areas can get information about contacting their local elected officials from the Ohio Library Council

My guess is I’ll be hearing a lot more about this at our next Friends Board of Trustees meeting, and possibly at a Legislative breakfast, if I get to go, next week.

By the way, the Columbus Library now gives you the opportunity to borrow eBooks as well. I’ll be checking out that option soon, I’m sure!

I also tried, on…

  • Comment trolls

Here’s what I don’t get. Everyone gets the occasional stupid, downright offensive comment, right? Why then do some bloggers make such a big deal over them? Why do they engage these people in an argument, or publicly expose their IP address or whatever other information they can get hold of? What purpose does it really…
