Computer security awareness

Robert sent me the link through IM earlier today that he discusses in this post.

I’m impressed, this is a pretty good idea to get people to at least think about computer security. Let’s face it most home users are never going to go spend a lot of time looking at computer security articles online, so anything that can get them to spend a minute thinking about security, and the consequences of not being secure, has got to be a plus! Now if we could just get someone in the US to fund some PSA’s, maybe show ’em during the Superbowl or something.

Yeah I know, dream on..

It’s about time for the great unveiling of the new name of this blog. But sometimes, miscommunication on the…

So towards the end of last week, I wrote out and fully explained, in great detail, how MyDoom worked and what it meant when you got “bounce” messages claiming that you sent out a virus. (Or, in fact, what it didn’t mean, since they have no point.) This is at least the third time I…

  • Free beer!

We had several of our friends over Saturday for a little cook-out. We bought enough beer for everyone and in turn, two of our guests brought even more beer. Now, we’ve got a whole bunch of leftover beer! Do you think my boss would mind if I drank an Amber Bock with my lunch? 😉…

  • Stylish

Gee there’s a whole little Firefox extension that changes styles based on website, etc. that I didn’t even know about until I came across this post about adding attachment icons to Gmail on Download Squad. Why didn’t someone tell me about Stylish? Or did someone tell me and I just forgot? 🙂 Either way, I’m enjoying…
