Proof positive

Last week, we talked about how much people listen to outside IT people compared to internal people. Remember that?

This morning we have exhibit #1:

I got an email from one of my users. One of his business contacts had forwarded him an email about virus warnings that she had gotten from their IT Department. My user forwarded that to me with the message “I thought you might find their IT guy’s comments interesting”. I should give him credit for wanting to be helpful and pass along information that maybe I didn’t have, but I can’t.

The comments covered the same topic that I’ve covered with everyone here at least 2-3 times.
