Ouch..

Right in the middle of yesterday’s stress-filled running around, trying to get everything and everyone to the right place and then back again, I found out that my grandmother died. I couldn’t, at that time, really think about it or try to find out what the funeral arrangements were and whether we would be able to make it to NY for them. I’m trying today to find that information and make that decision so Angela and I can rearrange our travel plans for this weekend, if need be. Consider my blogging to be on a break while real life continues it’s interruptions.

It seems my laptop battery is on it’s last legs. I can only get about 15 minutes of time before it shuts itself down. It comes right back up, with plenty of charge, so I know it’s not a charging issue, it just seems to think it’s not charged and shuts the laptop off. HP’s…

I disabled trackbacks on the entire blog. I’m tired of dealing with the spam. Perhaps if Haloscan puts something together that makes some effort at blocking it I’ll think about it again, but for now, it’s too much work deleting the dozens of spam trackbacks every single day. Lots of interesting things in this post by Chris Dale about various sources of data and how they will start to show up in the legal world as eDiscovery, but a…

I’ve had some time now to digest some things that have been going around the blog world and I have some thoughts: I’m glad that Elcomsoft was found not guilty but given the facts of the case I’m not too sure that this is really the death knell for the DMCA. The problem is that…
