Another entry?

Well it seems like maybe I’ll have to try out this new RSS aggregator, Syndirella, and see how it rates up against the other ones I tried out last year.

I should probably fire up Angela’s eMac at some point and try out NetNewsWire Lite and see how that stacks up too although, obviously, since I use Windows most of the time, it’ll never replace Amphetadesk on my main desktop, or Aggie on the laptop. Syndirella, on the other hand, might stand a chance. 🙂

    Replacing Google Reader Isn’t Easy

As you may know, I decided to go with the upstart The Old Reader as my Google Reader replacement when Google shut it down. It had everything that I had enjoyed from Google Reader, even if it wasn’t backed by a humongous infrastructure in the same way that Google Reader was. I can see now…

I just wanted to share a little story of good tech support. I needed to set up a mailing list, and on my hosting account the tool available to do that is a program called EZMLM. It works fairly well, but I needed to make a small edit to one of the configuration files for…

  • Trip to the Wilds

We got to take a safari tour of The Wilds yesterday. We had been a few years back, but armed with some better camera equipment and a free pass to the extended safari, we were really excited to get out there and shoot some wildlife photos. It was quite fun. The highlight of the extended…

I met up with my wife for lunch today. The food was provided free by the East Tennessee State Alumni Association. She’s an alum. The team is staying two blocks from my work, which is where they had their pregame pep rally type event this morning. They are in town to take on Cincinnati in…
