Blogrolling

The coolest thing about using blogrolling, well beside the fact that it’s ridiculously easy, is that I can see who’s been blogrolling me, which is cool. Just taking at look at my site gave me these people who have added me and who I had never read before:

Adding those to the folks who I already knew were coming here shows me just what a variety of viewpoints and experiences are out there. Excellent! Please feel free to add your voice to what we’ve got going on around here! Thanks for the links, and go check these folks out, it’ll be an interesting way to spend some of your weekend!

Morten passed along this link, which is a place for you to validate your robots.txt file. He mentioned it to me because the robots.txt file I just put up on Monday had a typo in it. How embarrassing, but also how cool that it took less than 48 hours for someone to give me a…

  • Codename Max

Yeah, I installed Max this evening. This is Microsoft’s new photo-sharing tool. At this point the only real advantage to this as opposed to just having a Flickr list and sharing it with people is the ability to do a couple of funky things with displaying photos as they would look framed on a mantle,…

Tony’s got a link to an interesting freshmeat article about there being too much free software. Tony’s remarks, ” This has been a bigger impediment to the growth of Linux than many people would realize. I see it in email every day – “Which text editor should I use? There are so many.” Or, worse…

  • Odds and Ends

I was amused by the back and forth between Robert Scoble and Kevin Devin this weekend. If you follow through the comments there, and the original post at Scoble’s you’ll see that he didn’t really mean to call all IT workers f***ers, just the one’s who implemented policy, and the IT folks at Microsoft were…

  • Added functionality

I’ve added the “Email this post” function that Blogger has made available to it’s users. I’m not sure I’ll keep it, but I was in the mood to experiment. If you click the little envelope after this post, it’ll bring you to a page on blogger.com that will let you send a message with a…

  • Remote Desktop

Gee with everything else going on around here, I forgot to tell you all about my trial run with Remote Desktop last night. It’s not exactly as sure-fire simple as the Sales guys made it out to be the few times I asked about it. First I setup the XP box at work to accept…
