Good point

Good point, Geek. I actually never even considered a blog-silence to coincide with the Internet Radio Day of Silence, and I was simply too busy to report on it the way I wanted to today, but I do think the CARP ruling is important information. The RIAA and major media is trying to kill internet radio with these rules, so that they control the only choices you have online, just like they do with broadcast radio. (How many stations do Viacom and Clear Channel own now? How many truly independent radio stations are left? Have these media giants struck their own deals with the RIAA to avoid paying the CARP fees so they can continue webcasting while their competition closes up shop?)

Think about it, learn about it, pay attention to it, and then do something about it!

And yes, Geek there are some others writing about it.

  • History Lessons

We spent the weekend visiting with Angela’s parents, but also got to spend quite a bit of time getting history lessons. On Saturday, despite the 90 plus degree heat, I spent part of the afternoon watching a Civil War skirmish re-enactment. (Yeah, I have the sunburn to show for it.) It was quite fascinating to…
