Wow!

Well talk about an Easter surprise, I logged in this morning to find an email from Andrew, one of the developers for Newzcrawler. Seems he read my little write up and wanted me to send him some examples of the problem I am having with permalinks so that he could look into providing a fix. That is incredibly cool, software developers who not only provide freeware but are willing to work at making it an even better user experience have my utmost respect, I gotta say. In some cases they even wind up getting some of my money because I find their stuff so useful!

It amazes me when something I write gets the attention of cool people like that!

Also thanks to everyone who’s been visiting and posting in the Forum system. Over 50 posts in one week was much more than I expected! Keep ’em coming!

OK I gotta get ready for the family Easter, catch you all later!

Oh well, it’s probably about time we…

Well I promised more later, and boy is it later… 🙂 After lunch we were treated to a talk by Steve Gibson. Now to say that Steve has a different perspective that Rob Rosenberger would be putting in mildly. Some of Steve’s main points: The internet, globally is very robust and impossible to bring down,…

I missed this over the weekend, but Dwight Silverman does a good job of breaking down the $100 PC available during the Thanksgiving Shopping spree. Surprise, surprise, the $100 for a PC really isn’t quite the deal it appears to be. It would be nice if retailers could go the route Dwight suggests, and just…

  • Another Consulting company I will never work for

in 2004-2005, when I was looking for a job, I heard from a number of IT consulting companies, and unfortunately, most of them turned out to be companies I would never work for. Between the ones that lied to me about jobs, or lied about my qualifications to companies, to the one’s who called my house…
